What Is a Split King Adjustable Bed?
A split king is the most popular adjustable bed configuration for couples. It uses two Twin XL adjustable bases placed side by side to form a 76" x 80" king-size sleeping surface. Each person gets their own remote and can adjust their side independently. This setup requires two separate Twin XL mattresses rather than a single king mattress.
Which Size Fits Your Room?
Twin and Twin XL bases fit rooms as small as 7' x 10' to 8' x 10'. Full bases need at least 10' x 10'. Queen bases work best in rooms of 12' x 12' or larger. King and Cal King bases require 12' x 12' minimum, with 14' x 16' recommended for a spacious layout with nightstands and a dresser.
