WHAT THIS MEANS TO US
Responsibility, Not Perfection
Ornate Home is a California-based furniture retailer offering thoughtfully curated, long-lasting furniture from trusted brands. As a retailer — not a manufacturer — our sustainability impact is shaped by the brands we choose to partner with and how we operate our business.
Our approach focuses on making better, more responsible decisions across products, partnerships, and daily operations.

WHY DURABILITY MATTERS MORE THAN TRENDS
Long-Lasting Furniture as a Responsible Choice
Furniture sustainability goes beyond materials alone. A well-made piece that lasts for years often carries a lower overall environmental footprint than furniture designed for frequent replacement.
At Ornate Home, we prioritize products built to endure — because choosing furniture that lasts reduces waste, lowers replacement cycles, and supports more thoughtful consumption.
- Solid construction and proven craftsmanship
- Durable materials suitable for everyday living
- Designs that age well and remain relevant over time

HOW WE SELECT THE BRANDS WE CARRY
Responsible Suppliers and Brand Partnerships
As a multi-brand furniture retailer, our responsibility is directly connected to the brands we choose to work with. We don't manufacture our products — but we do carefully evaluate who we partner with.
We look for furniture brands that demonstrate transparency and a commitment to quality. We continuously refine how we assess our suppliers, building a more consistent sustainability baseline over time.
- Transparency around materials and manufacturing
- Responsible sourcing and production practices
- A clear focus on product quality, safety, and longevity

THOUGHTFUL MATERIALS USED WITH PURPOSE
Materials, Craftsmanship, and Quality
Materials play a key role in furniture longevity — but craftsmanship determines how those materials perform over time. Rather than making claims about "perfect" materials, we focus on honest craftsmanship and informed material choices.
Across our collections, the products we curate emphasize quality construction that serves real, everyday living.
- Durable woods, stones, metals, and upholstery materials
- Construction methods designed for strength and repairability
- Finishes intended for long-term residential use

REDUCING WASTE THROUGH SMARTER OPERATIONS
Responsible Operations in Our California Showrooms
Our commitment to doing better extends beyond the products we sell into how we run our business day to day — from our showrooms to our delivery routes.
These improvements benefit both environmental performance and customer experience.
- Energy-efficient lighting and responsible energy use
- Reduced packaging waste and optimized delivery processes
- Minimizing product damage and unnecessary returns
Disclosure Under the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act
The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (SB 657) requires certain retailers and manufacturers doing business in California to disclose their efforts to address the risks of human trafficking and forced labor within their supply chains.
Ornate Home is committed to conducting business responsibly and ethically. As a California-based furniture retailer, we do not manufacture products directly — we partner with established furniture brands and suppliers across the United States and internationally. While we do not control the manufacturing processes of our suppliers, we take the following steps to promote ethical supply chain practices:
Supplier expectations:We expect all suppliers and brand partners we work with to comply with all applicable laws, including those prohibiting human trafficking, forced labor, and child labor.
Evaluation and selection:When evaluating potential brand partnerships, we consider the transparency, reputation, and business practices of each supplier. We prioritize partnerships with brands that demonstrate a commitment to ethical operations and responsible sourcing.
Accountability:If credible concerns are raised about a supplier's practices relating to human trafficking or forced labor, we will review the situation and may take appropriate action, up to and including ending the business relationship.
Ongoing improvement:We recognize that responsible supply chain management is an evolving process. As our business grows, we are committed to strengthening our evaluation processes and increasing transparency about how we select and assess the brands we carry.

⚠️ A Note on Our Role
Ornate Home is a furniture retailer — we curate and sell products from established brands, but we do not manufacture them. Our sustainability efforts are focused on the choices we make as a retailer: which brands we partner with, how we operate our business, and how we serve our customers. We are transparent about the fact that the environmental practices of each product ultimately depend on its manufacturer. We're working to build stronger evaluation processes for the brands we carry and will share updates as our approach evolves.
