Which Helix mattress is right for your sleep style?

Helix designs each mattress around a sleeping position and a firmness preference, so the best starting point is how you actually sleep. Side sleepers usually want a softer feel that cushions the hips and shoulders, while back and stomach sleepers tend to need a firmer surface that keeps the spine aligned. Combination sleepers often land in the middle. The Midnight is the brand's most popular choice because its medium feel works for the widest range of people, and you can explore it in full on the Helix Midnight page. Use the guide below to match a model to your body and habits.

What is the difference between Helix Core, Luxe, and Elite?

Every Helix feel comes in three builds, so once you know your model you choose how far to take the construction. Core is the essential hybrid, with supportive coils under a breathable knit cover, and it delivers the signature Helix feel at the most accessible level. Luxe steps up with a plush quilted pillow top, zoned lumbar coils for extra lower-back support, and a cooler cover that suits warm sleepers, and you can see every feel offered in that build on the Helix Luxe page. Elite is the tallest, most layered build, adding extra micro-coil comfort layers and the most advanced cooling for the deepest pressure relief and strong motion isolation between partners.

Are Helix mattresses hybrid or all foam?

Every mattress in this collection is a hybrid, which means a base of individually wrapped support coils topped with comfort foam layers. The coils provide support, gentle bounce, and airflow, while the foam shapes to your body for pressure relief. That combination is why hybrids tend to sleep cooler than all-foam beds and suit a broad range of sleepers. Who are the Helix Plus and Helix Kids mattresses for?

Two models in the lineup are built for specific sleepers. Helix Plus is reinforced throughout with sturdier coils and denser foams, so it stays supportive and resists sagging for heavier and plus-size sleepers who find standard mattresses wear out too soon, with more detail on the Helix Plus page. Helix Kids is made for growing children, with a kid-appropriate feel and a durable, easy-clean cover that stands up to everyday use. Choosing between them comes down to who the bed is for rather than a difference in comfort preference.

What sizes do Helix mattresses come in?

Helix mattresses come in the full range of standard sizes, from twin and twin XL for kids and guest rooms up through full, queen, king, and California king for primary bedrooms. Several models also come in less common sizes such as RV king and short queen, which help in campers and tighter spaces where a standard bed will not fit. Measure your room and your frame before choosing, and leave walking room around the bed. You can also browse by size, such as our king mattresses, to see everything that fits your space.

How do you set up and care for a Helix mattress?

Each Helix mattress ships compressed and rolled in a box, which makes delivery and moving it to the right room much easier. Once it is in place, unroll it on your foundation and let it expand and air out before your first night on it. Helix hybrids work on most solid or slatted platforms, box foundations, and adjustable bases, so check that your frame gives even support with slats set close together. To keep it fresh, use a washable protector, rotate the mattress now and then for even wear, and spot clean the cover rather than soaking it. If you want to raise the head or foot of your bed, pair it with one of our adjustable beds.

Every Helix order ships with nationwide white-glove delivery, and flexible financing lets you spread the cost over time. If the mattress is not the right fit once you have slept on it, our 30-day return policy makes it simple to arrange a return.
