What is the difference between a Modway counter stool and a bar stool?

Counter stools have a seat height around 24 to 26 inches for standard kitchen islands, while bar stools sit higher at about 28 to 30 inches for raised bars and pub tables. Modway makes both heights, and some adjustable models cover the range. Measuring from the floor to the underside of your counter, then subtracting about 10 inches, gives the right seat height. To coordinate with the table nearby, see Modway dining chairs.

What styles of Modway stools are there?

The range includes backless stools that tuck fully under a counter, low-back and full-back styles for more support, and swivel stools that turn to face the room. Upholstered velvet and vegan leather add comfort, while wood and metal stools keep cleanup simple. Backless designs are the most space-saving for a busy kitchen.

How many Modway stools fit at your counter?

Allow about 26 to 30 inches of counter width per stool so seats do not bump, which usually means 2 stools at a small island and 3 or 4 along a longer counter. Leave a few inches between seats for elbow room. The full brand range sits in the Modway collection.
